SCANDAL OVER THE "VACCINATION CAMPAIGNS" UNDERTAKEN BY CODEVI CORPORATION IN MARCH & APRIL 2004 IN THE OUANAMINTHE FREE TRADE ZONE - THE UMHA'S STANCE
PART 2 - ANNEX: CASE STUDIES

OUANAMINTHE, JULY 2004

ANNEX

Workers' testimony

  • The victims of the "vaccination" campaigns unanimously testify to the following points:

  • The "vaccinations" at the Free Trade Zone were administered in March and on April, 19th, 2004.
  • The workers were compelled to take the vaccine the day of the campaign under threat of being fired.
  • They were injected in the shoulder with the mixture of two substances, taken from two different flasks.
  • They first started suffering severe health disorders one week after the second "vaccination" campaign.
  • They had never experienced any similar discomfort previously, whether they were women, pregnant or not, or whether they were men.

We have listed thirty or so cases, organized thus:

  • Severe health disorders
  • Moderate health disorders
  • Minor health disorders

Serious cases or severe health disorders

In this part we have listed the following: foetal death in uterus, abortion, threat of abortion and sexual impotence for men.

We have listed 7 bad cases resulting from the vaccinations:

  • 2 deaths in-uteri
  • 2 abortions
  • 2 threats of abortion
  • 1 case of sexual impotence

1st serious case:

Mrs JEAN-BAPTISTE Evelyne, 32 years old, G3P3A0Ev2 (3 previous pregnancies, 3 deliveries, 2 living children). She had no medical problems during her two previous

pregnancies. Her last menstruation, before her pregnancy, was in September 2003. She was 6 months pregnant when she was given the first injection. She was administered the second dose on April, 19th, 2004. A few days later, she started becoming dyspnoeic or breathless and her lower limbs began to swell. On May 9th, worried about abdominal pains, she went to the Ouanaminthe Health Centre (Centre de Santé), where they measured her systolic blood pressure, abnormally high at 240 mm Hg instead of the usual 120 mm Hg. On May 10th, she gave birth to a dead feminine foetus, and suffered a post-partum haemorrhage. She did not perish, and came out of the hospital alive. Her name was entered on the Ouanaminthe Health Centre registers, but her medical record, registered 2-01-04 was not found when we called in order to study it.

The question remains: would Mrs. Jean-Baptiste Evelyne have suffered this typical pre-eclampsia if she had not been "vaccinated"?

2nd serious case:

Mrs. Deshommes Azilia, 33 years old, G4P3A1Ev3 (4 previous pregnancies, 3 deliveries, 1 abortion, 3 alive children). She had no medical problems during her three previous pregnancies. Her last menstruation, before her pregnancy, was in January 2004. She had a pre-birth consultation when she was one month pregnant with Dr Claude Joazard. She enjoyed perfect health. She was "vaccinated" both times. The second time was on April, 19th, 2004. She was three months pregnant. She started to suffer serious symptoms in the beginning of May 2004, approximately two weeks after the second shot. She began to feel hypo gastric abdominal pains and got dyspnoeic. She went to the "clinica Codevi" in the free trade zone, where the doctor asked for a scan of her pelvis. This was done on May 11th, 2004, giving evidence of a dead foetus. She then went to Ouanaminthe Health Centre. On May 14th, 2004, she gave birth to a dead foetus. She left the hospital on May 15th 2004. She is still psychologically affected by these tragic events.

3rd serious case:

Mrs. Michel Bertele, 27 years old, 4P3A1 (3 previous pregnancies, 3 deliveries, 1 abortion). Her last menstruations were in December 2003. She was 4 months pregnant when she received the second shot on April 19th, 2004. She fell from her bicycle, dizzy and tired, she claims, because of the effects of the substances that were injected during the second vaccination campaign. After her fall, she went for a consultation at the free trade zone clinic, but the doctor was out. On April 28th, 2004, she suffered from hypo-gastric abdominal pains and pains in the lumbar region and noticed she was loosing dark blood through her vagina. Lacking funds, she did not go to the doctor's office. She was cared for at home with traditional medicine. She still complains of menstrual disorders: she has two menstruations each month.

4th serious case:

Mrs Claudette Auréus affirms she has suffered a miscarriage because of the "vaccinations". Our delegation did not meet her. She was in such a bad state that she went back to Port-au-Prince to get cured. We could not get her contacts in order to meet her.

5th serious case:

Mrs Ephraüs Louna, 22 years old, G2P1A0Ev1 (2 pregnancies, 1 delivery, no abortions, 1 living child). She had no medical problems during her previous pregnancy. Her last menstruation, before her pregnancy, was January 5th, 2004. She took part in both "vaccination" campaigns. She was administered the first dose in March 2004, and suffered pains in her left shoulder and sensations of heat in her left arm, where she was shot with the "vaccine". Because of this, she did not want to be "vaccinated" the second time, on April 19th, 2004. That day, she explained to the human resources director, Mr Moises Joanis that she had had health problems since the first shot and thus did not want a second one, not knowing the nature of the injected substance. The director answered: "I don't know the nature of the vaccine myself, but workers who won't take the shot will be fired". Fearing this, she finally decided to get vaccinated. As she was being shot, she inquired about the nature of the injected substance and the nurse replied it was an anti-tetanus vaccine to protect the workers against tetanus.

Three days later, she began to feel abdominal hypo-gastric pains, but failed to tell the management fearing she would be fired. Afterwards she started to suffer from troubles linked with dysuria and pollakiuria. Three weeks after that, the intermittent abdominal pains becoming more and more unbearable, she had to tell the supervisor, Mr Raynal Olivar, about them, so as to obtain a consultation at the free trade zone clinic, but management would not agree to grant her permission on the grounds that she was not truly ill and was simulating pain in order to stop working. She then passed out in the manager's office, and after a good deal of procrastination, the seriousness of her case was accounted for, and she was allowed to go to the doctor's office. She was examined by the clinic doctor, who asked for an abdominal scan for fear of an abortion. The patient was given a tocolytic substance: Salbutamol; Buscopan and an antibiotic: Erythromycin.

She was scanned 48 hours later and a normal foetus appeared on the scan. She was then examined in a private clinic in Ouanaminthe, where the diagnosis was a mild urinary infection, or a haematological anaemia. She was allowed a week's rest. In spite of a medical certificate issued by a doctor licensed by the MSPP (Ministère de la Santé Publique et de la Population: Health Department), the company's human resources director decided this pregnant woman should take a week's rest without pay. After her rest, she was better but during the interview, she still complained of ocular trouble and headache.

Indeed all the medical facts stated by Mrs Ephraüs were confirmed by Ouanaminthe doctors at Ricardo Clinic and at the free trade zone clinic.

She has a medical record in the archives of the free trade zone clinic, referenced 52811MD, in which we found the following information: when she consulted in May 2004 she weighed 107 lbs, was 163 cm. tall, had a blood pressure of 80/50 mmgh and had a 4 month amenorrhea. The abdominal scan done on May 21st, 2004, gave evidence of a 17.1 week pregnancy and a healthy foetus. It was determined she should probably deliver on October 24th, 2004. During our interview, Louna told us she believed all her health disorders were linked to the "vaccinations" and that she did not simply suffer from urinary infection or anaemia. Her pregnancy would have turned into a tragedy, and she would have known the same fate as the other pregnant women who lost their foetus or embryo, Mrs Jean-Baptiste Evelyne, Mrs Deshommes Azilia, Mrs Auréus Claudette and Mrs Bertele Michel, had she not been morally and financially assisted by Sister Lydia, a Colombian nun of the Saint-Jean congregation who works in Ouanaminthe and paid for her medical tests, the doctors' fees and the medication. She would never have been able to pay for all that with her meagre worker's salary and would not have saved her foetus.

6th serious case:

Mrs Joaza Roseline, 27 years old, G1P0A0Ev0 (1 pregnancy, no delivery, no abortion, no children). Her last menstruation, before her pregnancy, was in February 2004. She was just pregnant when she was shot the first time with the "vaccine". After that, she suffered from nausea, headaches and hypo-gastric abdominal pains. Because of this, she refused to be vaccinated the second time. These disorders lasted for more than a month. She was anxious about abortion, and consulted Dr Joazard in Ouanaminthe. He prescribed an abdominal scan, performed on May 22, 2004, at the Fundacion S.S.M. Hospital Damon Matias Frontera Dajabon, and revealing normal twin embryos, 11.6 weeks old. She got better after a few days rest.

7th serious case

Mrs Joseph Marlène, age unknown, G1P0A1Ev0 (1 previous pregnancy, no delivery, 1 abortion, no living children). Her last menstruation, before her pregnancy, was in January 2004. She was 2 months pregnant when she received the first shot. A few days later, she suffered a vaginal haemorrhage and epigastria. She went for a consultation at the Union Médicale, Mrs Milou's clinic. She believes to have aborted because of the "vaccination". She carried on losing blood through her vagina until June 2004.

8th serious case

Mr Henry Claude Boisvil, 34 years old. After being "vaccinated" for the second time, he began to suffer from a painful scapula, mild fever, but his main problem is sexual impotence, which appeared a fortnight after the second "vaccination". This causes trouble with his wife who accuses him of infidelity. His life has changed for the worst since this so-called "vaccine". He considers himself too young to suffer from such problems, and does not know where to look for a solution.

Moderate cases

In this section we have listed cases of irregularities of the menstrual cycle and problems with menstruation itself for women and disorders generated by hormonal disruption for men: 20 cases in all.

Concerning women:

  • 8 cases of irregular periods with menstruation problems
  • 3 cases of irregular periods only
  • 8 cases of menstruation problems only
  • Concerning men:
  • 1 case of galactorrhoea

1st moderate case:

Mrs Irélia Saint-Vil, age unknown, has never been pregnant. She stressed the total lack of awareness and motivation campaigns, and the pressure that the management of the plant bore on the workers to get vaccinated. She received the first shot in March 2004. After the first injection, she did not menstruate in April. At the time, she did not yet make a link between the vaccination and this menstrual disruption. She then received the second shot on April 19th, 2004. On May 4th, she lost sticky blood through her vagina. The same thing happened on June 1st, her menstruations were shorter than the usual 4 days. She did not go to a doctor's office. She used traditional medicine at home. However the symptoms persisted and she began to suffer from hypo-gastric stomach pains, and pollakiuria, so at the end of June 2004 she decided to see a doctor. The doctor had her urine analyzed and diagnosed a urinary infection.

2nd moderate case:

Mrs Phistin Lucienne, 22 years old, has never been pregnant. 8 days after the first shot, she says she suffered from pruritus all over her body, had a fever, pain in her left arm (where the substance was injected), leg cramps, diminished sight, dyspnoea, and hyper menorrhoea (abundant menstrual bleeding, viscous blood). After receiving the second injection, she started having poly menorrhoea (more than one period a month), problems with her sight and headaches. She did not go to the doctor's office; she used traditional medicine at home.

3rd moderate case:

Mrs Linda Béliard, 26 years old, G1P0A0Ev1 (1 previous pregnancy, no natural delivery, no abortion, 1 living child) 2 years ago she gave birth through a caesarean operation. She never had any disruption in her menstrual cycle, or any problems with menstruation itself, which used to last for four days. After the second injection, her cycle became shorter and her menstruation lengthened to 6 days, with hypo gastric pain and dizziness. She did not go to the doctor's office.

4th moderate case:

Mrs Forvil Clotilde, age unknown, has never been pregnant. She states she got fever after the first shot in March 2004. After being "vaccinated" the second time, she suffered from dizziness and poly menorrhoea, together with hypo gastric pain (dysmenorrhoea) and great weariness. Mrs Forvil did not go to the doctor's office. She claims never to have experienced such trouble before.

5th moderate case:

Mrs Joazard Funise, age unknown, has never been pregnant. After the first "vaccination", her menstrual cycle shortened, and she complained of hypo menorrhoea (less abundant menstruation). After the second dose, she declares these problems got worse. She insists that she never experienced this kind of trouble before these "vaccinations".

6th moderate case:

Mrs Mathieu Diélène, 26 years old. She never had any problems with periods or menstruation before this so-called "vaccination". After the second "vaccination", she suffered from irregular menstrual cycles and hypo menorrhoea. A medical consultation would be a step towards the understanding of these health disorders.

7th moderate case:

Mrs Patrice Jeantilia, 23 years old, G1P1A0Ev0 (1 previous pregnancy, 1 delivery, no abortion, 1 living child), says that after the first vaccination, she suffered from lumbago, poly menorrhoea (raise in the frequency of menstruations), dizziness, headaches, and trouble with menstruation such as hyper menorrhoea (very abundant menstruation). For all these reasons, she avoided the second vaccination. She has not yet been to the doctor's office.

8th moderate case:

Mrs Germinal Miclage, 29 years old, has never been pregnant. She claims to have suffered from headaches after the first "vaccination". After the second one, she suffered from smarting sensations, a rash where she received the injection, a shortening of her menstrual cycle, menorrhoeal haemorrhage (menstruation for more than 8 consecutive days). She also complained about dysmenorrhoea, the menstrual blood becoming dark and viscous, and burning sensations when urinating (in French: brûlure mictionnelle). She now has psychological trouble and loses weight. She stresses the fact that she cannot have caught AIDS or any other STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease), because she has no sexual life whatsoever. She believes her problems are due to the injection of unknown substances at the free trade zone during the two "vaccination" campaigns. However we have no medical records – Mrs Germinal Miclage has not yet been to the doctor's office.

9th moderate case:

Mrs Pierre Guirlène, 28 years old, G3P3A0Ev3 (3 previous pregnancies, 3 deliveries, no abortion, 3 living children). After the first injection, she says she experienced ocular trouble and dizziness. After the second dose was injected, she had an amenorrhoea (no menstruation for 3 months), without the other concomitant symptoms of pregnancy such as nausea and vomiting. She upholds that she is not pregnant; but that her amenorrhoea is due to the substances she received during the "vaccination" campaigns. However she has not yet been to the doctor's office, so we cannot tell if her amenorrhoea is a consequence of the "vaccination" or if she is actually pregnant; a scan and a "gravindex" would be necessary.

10th moderate case:

Mrs Estinvil Marie Mercier is 24 years old, has never been pregnant and complains about headaches, dizziness, extreme pain in her legs and arms and an amenorrhoea since the first shot in March 2004. It would take a scan and/or a "gravindex" in order to discover if she is pregnant or if the amenorrhoea is due to the injection of substances during the "vaccination" campaign. Mrs Estinvil is convinced the latter cause is at the root of her problems.

11th moderate case:

Mrs Philémon Monique is 24 years old and has never been pregnant. After the first "vaccination", she suffered from hypo gastric pain and she had trouble using her left arm. After the second "vaccination", she suffered from hypo gastric pains, headaches, burning sensations when urinating (in French: brûlure mictionnelle) and shorter menstrual cycles. Although she has not been to the doctor's office yet, she insists she never experienced such problems before.

12th moderate case:

One week following the second "vaccination", Mrs Alexis Flomène, 24 years old, claims she suffered from abdominal pain, spells of fever and dizziness, fainting fits (in French: lipothymie) and dysuria. She has never been pregnant. She went to the doctor's office in Dominican Republic. However after interviewing this victim of the "vaccination" campaigns, the border was closed, thus preventing us from meeting her Dominican practitioner. Since May 2004, she has noticed she had hyper menorrhoea (very abundant menstruation).

13th moderate case:

Mrs Julienne Charles, of unknown age, has never been pregnant and used to menstruate during 5 days each period. Subsequently to the second "vaccination", she now suffers from fainting fits (in French: lipothymie) and a menorrhoeal haemorrhage that lasts 10 days with an alteration in the quality of the menstrual blood.

14th moderate case:

Following the first "vaccination", Mrs Magalie Joseph, 21 years old, seems to have suffered from pains in her right scapula (shoulder blade). After the second "vaccination", she started to suffer from general pruritus all over her body and a week later, bouts of fever and rashes appeared with the pruritus. She went to a doctor's office in Ouanaminthe; he gave her a calamine lotion and antipyretics. The fever was checked. However, suffering from hypo gastric pain and oligomenorrhoea (lessening of the duration of the menstrual bleeding) at the end of May 2004, she went to the doctor's office for a consultation in Fort-Liberté hospital. The duration of her menstrual bleeding has dropped from 5 days to 2, and the blood is unusually light-coloured.

15th moderate case:

Subsequently to the second "vaccination" Mrs Borgella Louissane, 33 years old, G2P2A0Ev2 (2 previous pregnancies, 2 deliveries, no abortions, 2 living children), began to suffer from headaches, pain in the lumbar region, epigastria and hyper menorrhoea (abundant menstrual bleeding). She went for a consultation at the CODEVI clinic where they gave her a shot. She does not know the nature of the injected substance. We were not able to see her medical record, having just left the CODEVI clinic when we spoke to her.

16th moderate case:

Subsequently to the first "vaccination", Mrs Philemon Simonique, 21 years old, who has never been pregnant, began to suffer from a painful scapula; after the second "vaccination", she began to suffer from impaired sight, bouts of fever with shivering, hypo menorrhoea (lessening of the menstrual bleeding), and hypo gastric pains, all of which she never experienced prior to these "vaccinations".

17th moderate case:

Subsequently to the second "vaccination", Mrs Jules Maguy, 22 years old, who has never been pregnant and never experienced these problems before, began to suffer from severe dysmenorrhoea with very little menstrual bleeding, only drop after drop, and this recurred twice, in the months of May and June 2004.

18th moderate case:

Subsequently to the first "vaccination", Mrs Bazile Linda, 32 years old, who has never been pregnant, began to suffer from minor health disorders, problems with menstruation she was not accustomed to.

19th moderate case:

Subsequently to the second "vaccination", Saintilma Thélusma, 22 years old, who has never been pregnant and never experienced these problems before, began to suffer from painful scapulars, hypo gastric pains and hypo menorrhoea.

20th moderate case:

After being "vaccinated" for the first time, Mr Cénat Ronald, 29 years old, started to feel pains in his right scapula; after the second dose, he got swollen lymph glands (in French: adénopathie) in the right-hand axillaries area. On May 15th 2004, he went to the CODEVI clinic for a consultation and was given Ibuprofen; his right nipple then began to produce milk (galactorrhoea). We witnessed this. Mr Cénat had never experienced such problems prior to these "vaccinations".

Minor cases

In this section we have listed the cases typical of post-immunization side-effects such as pain at the point of injection, or in the whole limb, pruritus, smarting sensations, or bouts of fever: 8 cases in all, 1 woman and 7 men.

1st minor case:

Subsequently to the second "vaccination", Mrs Jean Elourdes, 31 years old, got an outbreak of pimples on the left side of her thorax. It looked like a case of shingles. She went for a consultation at a clinic in Fort-Liberté and also at the "Union Médicale de Madame Milou" clinic. When we met, her symptoms had disappeared.

2nd minor case:

After the first "vaccination", Mr Toussaint Chivans, 33 years old, began to suffer from headaches and urinary trouble, fever and shivering. He went to the CODEVI clinic, where the doctor gave him 2 pills. The symptoms lasted for three days. He claims to have checked them with Valodon, Odon, Chloramex and Ampicilline 500 pills which he bought at the chemists.

3rd minor case:

Mr Bernardin Daniel, 31 years old, suffered from pains in his left scapula (shoulder blade) after the first injection and smarting sensations after the second one. He went to the CODEVI clinic and received an intra-muscular shot, and recommendations for a special soap against pruritus. We discovered he had polliakuria and a whitish substance was being expulsed through his urinary canal (in French: méat urinaire).

4th minor case:

After the first "vaccination", Mr Joseph Sather, 30 years old, began to suffer from pain in his left scapula, bouts of fever and said he could hardly use his arm. A week after the second dose, he had epigastria pains and palpitations. He did not find it necessary to consult a doctor to find out what the causes of these troubles were.

5th minor case:

Mr Sainvil Drunel, 32 years old, did not suffer from the first "vaccination". After the second shot, he got a fever, headaches, pruritus and anorexia. He did not get a medical consultation, too expensive for him.

6th minor case:

Mr Jean Séonus, 31 years old, was hired at the free trade zone on April 15th, 2004, thus receiving a shot during the second "vaccination" campaign only, and he complains about lumbar pains and pruritus. He did not see the point in going to the doctor's office for these minor troubles.

7th minor case:

A fortnight after the second "vaccination", Mr Moravia Elie, 29 years old, started feeling pain in the inguinal area on the right, his right testicle was swollen (épididymite, in French), and he had pollakiuria. He declares that the same symptoms lasted for a month longer, but lacking funds, he could not go to see a doctor. He says they disappeared naturally, without any medicine.

8th minor case:

After receiving the first and the second dose, Mr Délonis Sainphorin, 26 years old, suffered from lumbar pains, and pains in his left leg. He chose to have treatment at home, because he lacked funds for a medical consultation.
